| Sooooohh, I'm on my laptop where my dad keeps all our family pictures. I honestly can't describe how awkward my life looks in pictures, so I'll just give you a visual representation so you can see for yourself. I am one awkward motherfucker.
START:
Third grade. My sister and I bought the oh so hip Old Navy Zip Up Fleece Vests and wore them all the time. ALL THE TIME. Remember, they had a velcro puller on the zipper?
Around third or fourth grade, when I decided I loved eating. The decision is still relevant today...
Definitely fourth grade. Yeah, yeah I AM reading a Judy Bloom book. She was the only one who understood me.
Mah birfday, fifth grade. Uhhhhhh... that outfit was planned at LEAST four days in advance. I thought I was cute.
Sixth grade, at a teacher's wedding. I thought I could pull off the asian look. I also really really wanted to be catholic.
Seventh grade, when I had a thing for pants that reached my bellybutton...
Summer before eighth grade: couldn't stop reading anorexia books and eating very little.
Summer before freshman year. This is starting to get awkwardly embarassing...
Winter of freshman year: when I discovered a straightener and the idea of "being cute" was a new one to explore. This was the experimental stage.
THE ONLY PICTURE MY FAMILY HAS OF ME WITH BLACK HAIR. Struttin that shit in sophomore year, looking REALLY uncomfortable...
Then Tess and Stella and decided to cut my bangs like an alien would and go to sophomore homecoming that night...
Summer before junior year: all of a sudden I wasn't so awkward, but still REALLY wanted to be asian. The fact that I am sitting in a sushi restaurant is no coincidence.
Me, junior year, when I decided that every day was a holiday, so who cared about gaining weight and not wearing makeup?!
 Now. EeEEeeeeeEEeeeeehhhhhhehehehhehehehhhh weird.
Whoever said I never had an awkward stage and that I was really pretty must feel TREATED RIGHT NOW. Luh you guys. |
